OneCard Reward Points
The rewards structure is simple, transparent, but requires smart spending to maximise the value.
1. Base Rewards
1 Reward Point (RP) for every ₹50 spent on most retail purchases.
Value: 1 RP = ₹0.10. This translates to a base reward rate of only 0.2% (₹0.10 / ₹50).
2. The 5X Multiplier (The Real Game)
You earn 5X Reward Points on your Top Two spending categories of the month (excluding fuel, wallet, and rent payments).
But to enable the 5X Multiplier, spends of Rs 750 or more is required in the top 2 categories.
Effective Rate: On your top two categories, the reward rate jumps to 1% (5 RP / ₹50 = ₹0.50, which is 1% of ₹50).
3. Reward Points’ Features
Fractional Points: You earn fractional points (e.g., 3.5 points on a ₹175 spend), ensuring no rounding off and no loss of rewards.
No Expiry: OneCard Reward Points never expire.
Free Redemption: Zero fee for redeeming points against your outstanding statement balance.
Minimum RPs for Redemption: Minimum 500 Reward Points are required for statement credit but there is a trick to use entire RPs even if below the redemption criteria.
My Personal Hack: You can use any amount of RPs (even less than 500) as a discount on the Gift Card purchase. For example: If a Gift Card costs ₹100, you can use 350 RPs for a ₹35 discount and pay the remaining amount via the card. This ensures zero point wastage.

Conclusion: Is OneCard Worth it?
The OneCard Credit Card is a complex product that is more than just a piece of metal.
– Verdict for Beginners (0-2 years credit history):
Yes, Absolutely. The FD-backed option is a hassle-free, secure, and smart way to build a flawless credit score while simultaneously getting a premium-looking, LTF card with low international fees.
– Verdict for Experienced Users (5+ years credit history):
Maybe. If you already have a high-reward card, the OneCard’s low base reward rate (0.2%) is a drawback. However, being LTF it can be an excellent backup card for its 1% Forex fee and its superior app control/security features.
It perfectly serves its niche as the ultimate credit launchpad draped in a premium aesthetic. It was instrumental in my credit journey, and for anyone starting out, it remains a highly recommended choice.
