On my recent round-trip between Delhi & Mumbai, I decided to put these Scapia privileges to the test. I already had lounge access through other cards, so I ignored the “Lounge” button and went straight for the “Shopping” privileges. Here is exactly how I walked out of two major airports with a book and premium chocolates without spending a single rupee of my own. Let’s dive in! What is Scapia and Airport Privileges? Before I dive into my Delhi-Mumbai haul, let’s clear the air for those who don’t have the card yet. The Scapia Federal Bank Credit Card (and the newer BOBCARD variant) is a lifetime-free travel card that has become famous for one major thing: Unlimited Airport Privileges. The “Airport Privileges” Concept Unlike most cards that only give you a buffet meal in a crowded lounge, Scapia gives you a CHOICE. Every time you depart from an airport, you can choose one of the following: Unlimited Lounge Access (Domestic terminals only), or Complimentary Shopping/Dining/Spa (100% value back as Scapia Coins, up to ₹1,000) The “2026” Eligibility Rule for Airport Privileges To be eligible for these airport perks, there is one Modest Spend Criteria. You must spend at least ₹20,000 in your previous billing cycle (with both RuPay and/or Visa Card) to unlock the Scapia airport privileges in the current billing cycle. Note: This spend requirement was recently increased from ₹10k, so make sure you’ve hit the target in the previous billing cycle before you reach the terminal! Thinking of applying? Check out my Detailed Scapia Card Personal Review for a deep dive into the rewards, eligibility, and whether it still beats other travel cards in 2026. Leg 1: Delhi T1 (The Lounge Drama & Relay Store) Our journey started at Delhi T1 with a bit of a reality check. I walked in confidently, thinking my Tata Neu Card (Dreamfolks) QRs would be my golden ticket to Encalm Lounge. The Reality Check: The Encalm Lounge rejected the QRs. 4 Lounge QRs were wasted and that’s exactly why it is very important to check the list of eligible airports that your card has partnered with for lounges. Suddenly, I was the only one left outside while the rest of my group was already inside using PNB Select RuPay Debit Cards (which luckily still had lounge access until 12th April). I stood there, looking at my phone, thinking: “I have Scapia, but I’m saving that for my shopping experiment. How do I get in without burning my Scapia credit?” The Kiwi Neon Save: Then it hit me. I had recently hit the ₹50,000 spend milestone on my Kiwi Neon Membership making me eligible for 1 domestic lounge. I opened the Kiwi app, generated my boarding pass-linked QR, and boom—I was in. Free IKIGAI Book with Scapia at Delhi Airport Shopping Offer Activated at Mumbai Airport Free Lindt Box with Scapia at Mumbai Airport Leg 2: Mumbai T1 (The Cococart Heist) Coming back from Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, T1), I didn’t even bother trying the Tata Neu QRs—I knew the “The Travel Club” lounge would again reject it. The Reddit Strategy Since I was traveling in a group and several people lacked lounge access, I used a pro-traveler hack: I “purchased” lounge QRs for everyone through the r/indiadealsexchange subreddit for ₹150 each. The Math: By spending ₹150 for the lounge, I “saved” my Scapia privilege for something much more valuable. The Shopping Finale Once we were done with the lounge, I headed to Cococart Store. If you’re a chocolate lover, this is the best way to use Scapia. The Cost: I tried to search for a product near ₹1,000 and found an item costing exactly ₹999. The Item: A premium box of Lindt Chocolates worth ₹999. The Activation: Same process—activated the “Shopping” privilege in the app, swiped, and secured the 100% Value back. The “Scapia Airport Privilege Strategy” Summary We are now close to the end of this personal blog and if there’s one thing you take away from my trip, let it be this: Don’t waste Scapia on a lounge stay. Feature Market Value Why I Chose Shopping Lounge Access ₹150 – ₹200 (Reddit/Other Cards) Lounges are getting easier to “hack” or get through basic cards. Shopping ₹1,000 (Hard Cash Value) No other card in India gives you ₹1,000 of actual products for free. Rules You Must Know Before You Fly (2026 Update) The Minimum Spend Criteria: You must have spent ₹20,000 in your previous billing cycle to enjoy the Unlimited Airport Privileges in the current billing cycle. No spend = No privileges. Departure Only: You can’t use these on arrival. It’s for when you’re leaving! The 24-Hour Cool-down: You can only use one privilege (Lounge OR Shopping) once every 24 hours. The “First Swipe” Rule: Once you activate a store in the app, the very next transaction on that card at that store is the one that gets the value back. (Don’t make purchase in two parts) CULT TIP Claim a ₹500 Amazon Voucher: Visa x Poshvine are gifting a ₹500 voucher of choice to New Visa Signature users. Since Scapia issues Visa Signature cards, you qualify! How: Complete one transaction of ₹300+ (Online or Offline). Cult Conclusion: Still the Best Travel Card? Even with the increased spend criteria, Scapia remains a rare find in the Indian credit card market. No other credit card treats the airport like a “Free Shopping Mall” and that too while being Lifetime Free. While the
